A blaze of late spring colour in the West Yorkshire countryside. Although the lone tree and Oilseed Rape field images posted previously probably have the more impact, this image was more satisfying for me personally. I'd spent quite a bit of time hunting around the West Yorkshire countryside for new areas to photograph, and found this lone tree near West Bretton. The problem was, the tree was right in the middle of the field and the horizon was quite cluttered, with parts of the distant M1 motorway even encroaching in places. I made my way into the field, taking care to stay in the cleared tramlines and finally settled on this composition which I think worked out quite well in the end.
