scaleber force waterfall, settle

Tucked away in a small wood above Settle in the Yorkshire Dales, Scaleber Force Waterfall is not quite the secretive place it once was! You'd never have stumbled across the falls, unless you were really looking for them that is. I came across them using one of those old paper things... maps, I think they used to be called. This one is a favourite shot, taken in May or June with very little water coming over the drop. Typical of late spring, the greens in the mosses that carpet the rocks behind the falls were at their most vibrant.
