first light at littondale

A favourite Yorkshire Dales view, and an area I've been visiting for years now. Littondale is pretty typical of the Dales with its patchwork fields, dry stone walls and traditional stone field barns. I've always found you have to get up above the valley though for the best images. This image was shot just above the village of Halton Gill at the very head of the Dale.
