Yorkshire Wolds Landscapes

Although I first photographed the Yorkshire Wolds years ago, it's not an area I've visited extensively until fairly recent times. Because much of my time is spent in the Yorkshire Dales, the chalk downs of the Wolds offer an entirely different photographic challenge, and one that I have to say, I really enjoy. Consisting of small, perfectly cut serpentine valleys and rolling, cultivated crop fields, I find the area lends itself towards more graphic type composition, rather than the wider sweeping views of the Dales. The Yorkshire Wolds gallery contains images from east Yorkshire, focusing on the areas of Millington, Huggate, Thixendale, Bugthorpe, Bishop Wilton, Great Givendale, Nunburnholme and Londesborough.
